Johannes Unger received NRW Young Scientist Award 2012 from the International Graduate School Dynamic Intelligent Systems

On November 19th, 2012, the NRW-International Research Schools awarded the NRW Young Scientist Award 2012 in their respective research areas to talented and promising young scientists. Since 2004, the price is granted to master students with an outstanding scientific publication to their name at the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Arts and Sciences in Düsseldorf.

During the ceremony, Dr. Sandra Scheermesser from the Ministry for Innovation, Science and Research, handed over the prizes to the eight Laureates.

Johannes Unger, doctoral candidate in Mechanical Engineering at the Vienna University of Technology, is this year’s awardee for the International Graduate School "Dynamic Intelligent Systems" at the University of Paderborn. Mr. Unger received the prize for his publication: “Reduced order optimization for model predictive control using principal control moves” published in the renowned "Journal of Process Control" in 2011.
